The fleshy drones in charge of UT security now have the ice-cold heart of technology on their side, in the form of vehicle-mounted cameras that can scan “all of UT’s 15,000 parking spaces in less than 24 hours” in an effort to identify vehicles with outstanding fines. It’s good to know that, in spite of cutbacks in higher education funding, the university still found $28,000 to buy machines that make day-ruining more efficient.
